CAN MEN, TODAY, BE SAVED LIKE ENOCH?
Did
you ever notice that the hydrophobic believers in Jesus want to be
saved like the thief on the cross? Their argument is the thief was not
baptized in water, and was still saved. Thief proponents fail to
mention that the thief was also saved without being born of the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit of promise had not been given at that time. So the
logical conclusion would be that men, today, can be saved without being
born of water and the Spirit. (John3:5 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.")
The question is why do men, today, not petition to be saved like Enoch?
Genesis 5:24 Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
1.Enoch did not believe Jesus was the Son of God. Was Enoch saved? YES.
2. Enoch did not confess that God raised Jesus from the dead. Was Enoch saved? YES.
3. Enoch was not baptized in water. He was not immersed for the forgiveness of sins. Was Enoch saved? YES.
4. Enoch did not believe that Jesus shed His blood on the cross so he could have his sins washed away. Was Enoch saved? YES.
5. Was Enoch born of the Spirit? No. The Holy Spirit of promise was not given until the Day of Pentecost. Was Enoch saved? YES.
WAS ENOCH SAVED? YES.
Can men, today, be saved like Enoch? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Men,
today, can only be saved by meeting the terms for pardon under the New
Covenant; also know as the New Testament, the New Will, the New
Agreement, the New Promise.
THE THIEF ON THE CROSS
Luke 23:39-43...And He said to him, :Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."
1. The thief believed Jesus was the Christ. Was the thief saved? YES.
2. The thief repented. (He turn from sin and turned toward God). Was the thief saved? YES.
3. The thief did not confess that God had raised Jesus from the dead. Was the thief saved? YES.
4. The thief was not immersed in water for the forgiveness of his sins. Was the thief saved? YES.
5. The thief was not born of the Spirit? The thief did not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Was the thief saved? YES.
WAS THE THIEF SAVED? YES.
Can men, today, be saved like the thief on the cross? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Men, today, can only be saved by meeting the terms of pardon under the New Covenant.
The New Covenant came into effect after the death of Jesus, on the Day of Pentecost.
Hebrews
9:16-17 For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death
of the one who made it. 17 For a covenant is valid only when men are
dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives.
MEN,TODAY, CANNOT BE SAVED LIKE ENOCH NOR SAVED LIKE THE THIEF ON THE CROSS. THEY WERE NOT SAVED UNDER THE NEW COVENANT.
Note: The book of Acts contains several conversions that took place under the New Covenant. There is no record of anyone saying.
A. I do not have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
B. I do not have to be born of water and the Spirit.
C. I do not have to confess that Jesus was resurrected from the grave by God in order to be saved.
D. I do not have to be immersed in water in order to be saved.
E. I do not have to repent, (Turn from sin and turn to God), in order to be saved.
IN ORDER TO BE SAVED UNDER THE NEW COVENANT; WHICH STARTED ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST. YOU NEED TO MEET THE TERMS FOR PARDON.
FAITH: John 3:16
REPENTANCE: Acts 2:38
CONFESSION: Romans 10:9-10
BAPTISM: Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21, Mark 16:16
YOU CANNOT BE SAVED LIKE ENOCH!

WHY DO BELIEVERS IN CHRIST REJECT BIBLICAL BAPTISM?
A CHRISTIAN VIEW
|
WHY DO BELIEVERS IN CHRIST REJECT BIBLICAL BAPTISM?
The
Bible is quite clear as to the purpose of water baptism. There is no
ambiguity as to who qualifies as candidates for water baptism. Why is
there so much confusion and disagreement among believers in Christ?
THE CAUSES OF UNCERTAINTY ABOUT WATER BAPTISM.
1. Many reject the Bible as the only and final authority of faith and practice.
2.
More than a few believe that God is still giving new revelation. The
would make the Bible subject to revision and changes, making the Bible a
secondary source for truth.
3.
Some do not believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God. If you
do not trust the Bible, why would you believe what God says about water
baptism?
4. Many simply explain away the Scriptures about water baptism in order to support the traditions they have been taught.
5. One of the popular ways to discredit the Bible and the purpose of water Baptism is to claim that the Scriptures have been mistranslated. Which, in fact, is saying God does not have the power to see that we have a Bible that is trustworthy.
THE QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR WATER BAPTISM
Qualified candidates are believers of the gospel. On the Day of Pentecost the apostle Peter preached the death, the burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Peter preached Jesus as both Lord and Christ. When they believed and were convicted of sin they were baptized in water. (Acts 2:22-41.....37 Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren what shall we do?"........41 So then those who received the word were baptized....)
Believers of the gospel are the only qualified candidates for water baptism. Non-believers are not qualified. Dead men are not capable of believing; they are not qualified. Infants are not capable of believing the gospel; they are not qualified candidates for baptism.
THE PURPOSE OF WATER BAPTISM
The purpose of water baptism is for the forgiveness of sins. (Acts 2:38 ....and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins...) The purpose of water baptism is in order to be saved (Mark 16:16....have been baptized shall be saved....)(Acts 2:40-41 ...."Be saved from this perverse generation! 41 So then, those who received the word were baptized....) Those who were told to be saved were baptized.
When it comes to who is qualified to be baptized and the purpose of baptism, the Bible makes it clear. There is no ambiguity. There is no uncertainty. There is no vagueness. There is no enigma.
IF MEN WOULD SIMPLY TRUST THAT GOD HAS THE POWER TO GIVE THEM, A TRUSTWORTHY, TRANSLATION OF THE BIBLE; THERE WOULD BE NO CONFUSION OVER WHO IS QUALIFIED TO BE BAPTIZED AND THE PURPOSE OF WATER BAPTISM!

THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST
A CHRISTIAN VIEW
|
THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST
Hebrews 9:22 ....without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
Are men saved because of God's grace? Yes. (Ephesians 2:8) Grace would not be available if not for the shed blood of Jesus.
Did Jesus sanctify and cleanse the church by the washing of water with the word? Yes. (Ephesians 5:26) The church cannot and is not sanctified except for the fact that Jesus shed His blood.
Hebrews 13:12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
Do sinners have to repent and be immersed in water to have sins forgiven? Yes. (Acts 2:38)Without Jesus shedding His blood on the cross, repentance and baptism for forgiveness of sins would not be accessible to mankind.
Romans 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
Did Jesus add the repentant baptized believers to His church? Yes. (Acts 2:38,41,47) Without the shed blood of Jesus there would be no church of Christ to be added to.
Acts 20:28 Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
Are we saved because we confess that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead? Yes. (Romans 10:9-10) This confession would be meaningless if Jesus had not shed His blood.
Revelation 1:5 and Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood---
WHY AND HOW ARE WE SAVED?
We are saved because of God's grace. (Ephesians 2:8)
We are saved because of our faith. (John3:16)
We are saved by confessing Jesus Christ. (Romans 10:9-10)
We are saved because we are immersed in water. (Mark 16:16)
We are saved because we repent of sins and turn toward God. (Acts 2:38)
AT THE POINT OF WATER BAPTISM, THE BLOOD OF JESUS WASHES AWAY MEN'S SINS, MEN ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT, MEN BECOME BORN AGAIN, MEN ARE SAVED, THE LORD ADDS THE FORGIVEN TO HIS CHURCH.
WITHOUT THE SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST, SALVATION WOULD BE UNATTAINABLE!

THE EARLY CHURCH FATHERS
A CHRISTIAN VIEW
|
THE EARLY CHURCH FATHERS
Are the writings of the early church fathers equal to the Scriptures?
The writing of the early church fathers are no more the inerrant word of God then are the writings of John Calvin, Martin Luther, Max Lucado, Robert Schuller, Billy Graham, John Knox, Benny Hinn, Joesph Smith, or Mary Baker Eddy.
The only way Scripture is found in the writings of the early church fathers or any other writers, is if their writing were copied directly from Scripture, were repeated verbatim from the Bible, or if their doctrinal positions are synonymous with Scripture.
There are many who accept the writings of the early church fathers as being accurate, authoritative, and Biblically sound doctrine.
If you believe the early church fathers to have been pillars of the church, dependable in their preaching and writings, then, why do you not believe what they wrote?
Tertullian 140-230 A.D. " Baptism itself is a corporal act by which we are plunged into the water, while its effect is spiritual, in that we are freed from our sin."
Are men plunged into water to be sprinkled? Baptism is by immersion and it frees men from sin.
The Epistle of Barnabas 70-100 A.D. "Blessed are they who, placing their trust in the cross, have gone down into the water, indeed descended into the water full of sins and defilement!
Barnabas believed baptism was by immersion. He also taught that men were still in their sins before they were baptized. Barnabas did not teach "faith only" salvation.
Ireneus of Lyons 190 A.D. For we are lepers in sin, we are made clean, by means of the sacred water and the invocation of the Lord, from our old transgressions, being spiritually regenerated as new-born babes, even as the Lord has declared: Except a man be born again through water and the Spirit, he shall not enter the kingdom of heaven."
Ireneus did not believe in the false doctrine of original sin. He believe new-born babes were without sin. Why do you not believe that?
Theophilus of Antioch 181 A.D. "Moreover, those things which were created from the waters were blessed by God, so that this might also be a sign that men would at a future time recive repentance and remission of sins through water and the bath of regeneration all who proceed to the truth and are born again and receive a blessing from God.
Why do you not trust the church fathers when they say remission of sins is through water?
Cyprain 200-258 A.D. "For he has been sanctified, his sins being put away in baptism, and has been spiritually reformed into a new man, has become fitted for receiving the Holy Spirit; since the apostle says, As many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.!
Cyprain says sins are forgiven in baptism making us able to receive the Holy Spirit. It you believe the early church fathers are reliable, why do you not believe that?
Terullian 203 A.D. "Happy is our sacrament of water, in that, by washing away sins of our early blindness, we are set free and admitted into eternal life... [But] a viper of the [Gnostic] Cainite heresy, lately conversant in this quarter, has carried away a great number with her most venomous doctrine, making it her first aim to destroy baptism...
It you trust Terullian, why do you not believe him when he said some men want to to destroy water baptism and its purpose?
REMEMBER SATAN WANTS YOU DRY OR HE WANTS YOU TO DENY WATER IMMERSION IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS. HE WANTS YOU TO SPRINKLE NON-BELIEVING INFANTS FOR NON-EXISTENT ORIGINAL SIN.
When, what the early church fathers said was in agreement with God's written word, it was true.
If you believe what the early church fathers wrote was authoritative, factual, trustworthy, and reliable, then, why not believe what they said even if it is at adds with your denominational catechisms and creed books?
THE BIBLE AND THE BIBLE ALONE SHOULD BE YOUR STANDARD FOR THE TRUTH!

When you feel like you are all alone
When you feel like you are all alone, remember that the Lord is always there. "For He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you'." Hebrews 13:5
When God commands something
When God commands something, you can be sure that it's going to happen. Just like He commanded the worlds to be formed, God has commanded that you be blessed. He has commanded that you prosper and increase. He has commanded that you be above only and not beneath. As a believer and follower of Jesus, you are called to be the head and not the tail. If you will get into agreement with God and not let other people or your own thoughts talk you out of it, then you will see this commanded blessing take you further than you ever thought possible.
GOD'S COMPLETE REVELATION!
A CHRISTIAN VIEW
|
GOD'S COMPLETE REVELATION!
We
have God's complete revelation to all mankind, it is called the Bible.
There are sixty six books. There are no more books. God's direct
revelation to mankind was finished, completed with the death of the last
apostle. The church of Christ had all the information it needed to
preach the gospel, teach the church about faith in Jesus Christ, and to
instruct men to obey God's commands.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I
felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend
earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the
saints.
Jude
wrote in his letter, in about 65 A.D., that Christians already had a
common salvation. He said contend for the faith which had been handed
down once for all. The faith was not being added to nor were parts of
the faith being deleted by new revelation. Jude knew nothing of
so-called new revelations being written in books of catechisms nor were
there any other extra-Biblical books of so-called new revelations from
God.
There is no 21st century new revelation, new prophecy, nor new knowledge. We already have the completed Scriptures, the BIBLE.
1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
Direct
prophecy and special knowledge from God have ceased. There is no more
prophecy or knowledge that is equal to Scripture. The Bible was
completed long ago.
1
Corinthians 13:10 But when what is complete comes , then what is
incomplete will no longer be used. (God's Word Translation (1995).
We have a completed Bible. We do not need new revelation. We do not need modern-day apostles nor prophets.
2 Peter 1:3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
The
apostle Peter said, in about 66 A.D., that Christians already had true
knowledge. What kind of knowledge are the modern writers of catechisms,
or other of the so-called modern-day apostles, and prophets
disseminating? A question that is worth pondering.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.
The
apostle Paul said their word was God's word. For men today to claim
that the catechisms they write, and, or, the so-called new books of
revelation, are directly from God; is at best, a case of self-delusion.
The worst case scenario is willful deception or purposeful ignorance.
Acts 20:27 For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.
The
apostle Paul declared the whole purpose of God to the Ephesians. How
could Paul have declared the whole purpose of God in the first century
if modern day prophets and apostles are still being given new purposes
from God today? There are no new, direct revelations, from God that are
equal to Scripture.
John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative , but whatever He hears, He will speak; and will disclose to you what is to come.
Jesus said, to the twelve apostles, that the Holy Spirit would guide them into all truth. The apostle heard all the truth. THERE IS NO NEW TRUTH TO BE ADDED! The Bible is completed, it is finished.
Ephesians 3:3-5 that by revelation there was made know to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief. 4 By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which in other generations was not know to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;
The mystery of Christ was revealed to the apostle Paul as well as the other apostles and prophets. It is not continually being revealed, it was revealed. We have that revelation, it is in the Bible.
We have God's completed word. We have the BIBLE!
HOW MUCH PRIDE WOULD IT TAKE FOR MEN, TODAY, TO CLAIM THAT THEIR WORDS ARE, IN FACT, EQUAL TO SCRIPTURE?

IMMERSED---SPRINKLED---POURED
Does
the word baptized have multiple meanings? Is it possible and, or,
credible to define the word baptized as 1. immersed 2. sprinkled 3.
poured? How would that work as a practicable application?
Baptize, baptized, and baptism are all define as immersion, immersed, plunged or dipped.
Can the words immersed, sprinkled, and poured be used interchangeably in place of baptized, baptism, and baptizing? No they cannot, because they are not the same word. They are not equal in meaning. They not by definition identical. They are not synonymous words.
A COMPARISON OF THESE SO-CALLED INTERCHANGEABLE WORDS.
SCRIPTURE QUOTE: Matthew 3:13 Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John, to be baptized by him.

I AIN'T BUILDING NO STINKING ARK

I AIN'T BUILDING NO STINKING ARK
Hebrews
11:7 By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in
reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which
he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is
according to faith.
What if Noah had said, "I ain't building no stinking ark; because building an ark would be a good work and works cannot save us from perishing in the flood?"
What if Noah had said, "Me and my family trust God to save us from the great flood, I ain't building no stinking ark because; we are going to be saved by faith only?"
What if Noah had said, "Building the ark was just an act of obedience, and had nothing to do with saving me and my household from drowning in the flood?"
What if Noah had said, "The eight of us were saved from drowning in the flood the very moment we trusted God, but we built the ark as a testimony of our faith to the community?"
What if Noah had said, "Obedience to God's plan, for our salvation, had nothing to do with our survival on the ark; we were saved by faith alone?"
If the preceding scenarios had, in fact, been Noah's attitude, HOW DO THINK THAT WOULD HAVE WORKED OUT FOR HIM?"
1 Peter 3:20-21 .....eight persons, were brought safely through the water. 21 Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you.......
When men, today, consider if water baptism is essential for them to be saved, would it be wise to say, "I AIN'T BUILDING NO STINKING ARK, BECAUSE I AM GOING TO BE SAVED BY, FAITH ONLY?"

WHO ARE GOD'S CHILDREN?
A CHRISTIAN VIEW
|
WHO ARE GOD'S CHILDREN?
WHO ARE GOD'S CHILDREN? The short answer is those who trust in Jesus and obey His terms for pardon.
John 1:12-13 But as many received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born, not of blood nor the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
Those who believed in the name of Jesus received the right to become children of God. They did become children of God the moment they believed.
NOTICE: Two requirements to become children of God.1. Received Jesus 2. Be born of God.
Galatians 3:26-27 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
You become sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ and being baptized into Him. You cannot separated the two.
Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
You cannot reject belief in Jesus or water baptism and become children of God.
YOU MUST BORN AGAIN TO BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD
John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Only God's children are in His kingdom. Unless you are born of water, that is water baptism, and the Spirit you are not one of God's children. Some have erroneously said that being born of water means natural child birth. To say it means childbirth would imply that a requirement for salvation is to be physically alive.
John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."
BUT HE WHO DOES NOT OBEY THE SON FACES THE WRATH OF GOD. THAT DOES NOT SUGGEST MEN ARE SAVED BY "FAITH ONLY."
What did Jesus tell to do in order to become children of God?
John 3:5 (be born of water and the Spirit)
Mark 16:16 (believe and be baptized)
WHAT THE APOSTLES TAUGHT, WERE IN FACT THE WORDS OF JESUS. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
Galatians 1:11-12 For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached to you by me is no according to men. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
All of the apostles' words were the words of Jesus. What did they say you had to do to become children of God?
BECOME A CHILD OF GOD
On the Day of Pentecost Peter preached the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, (Acts 2:37. When they believed, he told them to repent and be baptized so their sins could be forgiven and that they would receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38) Born of water (baptized). Born of Spirit (received the gift of the Holy Spirit. The 3000 became children of God.
What do you have to do to become a child of God?
Believe: John 3:16
Believe and be baptized: Mark 16:16
Believe or die in your sins: John 8:24
Be born of water and Spirit: John 3:5
Believe and obey Jesus: John 3:36
Repent and be baptized: Acts 2:38
Be baptized: 1 Peter3:20-21
Be baptized calling on the name of the Lord: Acts 22:16
Repent:Acts 3:19
Believe and confess: Romans 10:9-10
Call on the name of the Lord: Romans 10:13
Repent: Luke 24:47
Be baptized: Colossians 2:12-13
Believe, confess and be baptized: Acts 8:35-37
Believe and be baptized:Acts 16:30-34
Believe and be baptized:18:8
Be baptized: Romans 6:3-7
Be baptized into Christ: Galatians 3:26-27
YOU CAN BECOME A CHILD OF GOD IN ONE HOUR OR MORE OR LESS!
Hebrews 5:9 And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,
JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF SALVATION TO THOSE WHO OBEY HIS TERMS FOR PARDON.
MEN DO NOT BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD BY NO FAITH AT ALL NOR DO THEY BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD BY "FAITH ONLY."

FEAR CAN BE POSITIVE!
Why
do some reject Jesus as Lord and Savior and others accept Him? Why is
it, some accept the teaching found in Scripture concerning the terms for
pardon and other believe in the man-made traditions found in creed
books and statements of faith? Could there be a direct correlation
between rejecting the truth and not fearing God?
FEAR OF GOD IS A POSITIVE
FEAR OF GOD IS A POSITIVE
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.
Fear of the Lord is the introduction to wisdom. Lack of fear produces the absence of wisdom.
Proverbs 10:27 The fear of the Lord prolongs life, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.
Fear of the Lord lengthens your days here on earth.
Proverbs 16:6 By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for, And by the fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil.
Fear of the Lord helps men avoid evil.
THE TWO CRIMINALS AND FEAR OF GOD
Luke 23:39-43 One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying , "Are you not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!" 40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong." 42 And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!" 43 And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."
THE FIRST CRIMINAL DID NOT FEAR GOD
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Without fear of God there is no way men can understand the truth. Without wisdom, knowledge, and understanding men are left hanging on the cross with the first criminal.
FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE FIRST STEP TO ACCEPTING THE TRUTH ABOUT THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.
John 12:42 Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue;
The rulers did not confess Jesus because they feared the Pharisees more than they feared the Lord. The question is; how many preachers today will not preach water baptism as being essential for salvation because they fear losing their jobs more than they fear God?
Why do some men fear saying, Jesus is the only way to the Father?(John14:6)
Why do men fear teaching the terms of pardon.
FAITH: John 3:16
REPENTANCE: Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19
CONFESSION: Romans 10:9-10, Acts 8:37
BAPTISM: Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, 1 Peter 3:21, Acts 22:16
Do men preach their doctrine because they fear God or do they fear that they might be ostracized by their family, friends, lodge brothers, church members, and society in general if they preach the truth?
DO MEN REFRAIN FROM PREACHING THE COMPLETE TRUTH BECAUSE THEY FEAR LOSING THEIR POSITION IN THE CHURCH?
ACCEPTING JESUS AND TEACHING THE TRUTH STARTS WITH FEAR OF THE LORD!

TRADITION PRO AND CON
The
never ending debate, over accepting tradition as God's word is easy to
conclude. There are two kinds of tradition mentioned in the Bible. 1.
Divine tradition and 2. Man-made tradition.
There is an example of divine and non-divine tradition found in the book of Genesis.
DIVINE
TRADITION: Genesis 2:16-17 The Lord God commanded the man, saying,
"From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of
the knowledge of the good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day
that you eat from it you will surely die."
NON-DIVINE
TRADITION: Genesis 3:1-4 .....3 but from the fruit of the tree which is
in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it
or touch it, or you will die.' 4 The serpent said to the woman, "You
surely will not die!
Serpent-made
tradition and man-made tradition are one and the same. Any traditional
teaching that is contrary to Scripture is man-made tradition.
DIVINE
TRADITION: 2 Thessalonians 2:15 So then, brethren, stand firm and hold
to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by
letter from us.
Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy were not teaching traditions that contradicted the Scriptures. Their traditions were Scriptures.
DIVINE
TRADITION: 2 Peter 3:15-17 .....just as also our beloved brother Paul,
according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in his
letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard
to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also
the rest of the Scriptures....
What
the apostles wrote were Scriptures. What the apostles wrote did not
contradict the Bible. What the apostles wrote, was the Bible.
DIVINE
TRADITION: 2 Timothy 3:14-17 You, however, continue in the things you
have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned
them, 15 and that from childhood you have know the sacred writings, which are able to give you wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God....
Timothy
learned wisdom that lead to salvation from sacred writings. Timothy did
not learn the truth about salvation from man-made creed books and
catechisms that contradict the Scriptures.
MAN-MADE
TRADITIONS: Mark 7:1-9 ......7 'But in vain do they worship Me,
teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'....9 He was also saying to
them, "You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order
to keep your tradition.
MAN-MADE TRADITIONS: Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the traditions of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.
EXAMPLES OF MAN-MADE TRADITIONS
MAN-MADE TRADITION: "The Father has a body of flesh and bone as tangible as man's."
DIVINE
TRADITION: John 4:23-24 ....the Father... 24 God is a spirit, and those
who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth."
Man-made traditions do not invalidate the divine traditions found in the Bible. So-called new revelations do not void the Bible.
MAN-MADE TRADITION: Absolution is the remission of sin, or the punishment due sin granted by the Church.
DIVINE
TRADITION: Micah 7:18 Who is God like you who pardons iniquity...."
Mark 2:7 ....He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone ?"
The Bible trumps church catechisms and creed books.
MAN
-MADE TRADITION: Water baptism has nothing to do with the forgiveness
of sin, and is not essential for salvation! Men are saved before being
immersed in water.
DIVINE TRADITION: Acts 2:38 ....baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins...
Mark 16:16...has been baptized shall be saved...
1 Peter 3:21...baptism now saves you...
Acts 22:16...be baptized, and wash away your sins...
DIVINE TRADITIONS ARE FOUND IN THE BIBLE AND THE BIBLE ALONE!
GOD
DOES NOT WRITE CREED BOOKS, CATECHISMS, MODERN-DAY BOOKS OF REVELATION,
BOOKS ABOUT THE BIBLE, BIBLE COMMENTARIES, STATEMENTS OF FAITH ETC.
IF CHURCH TRADITION CONTRADICTS THE BIBLE; THEY ARE MAN-MADE TRADITIONS! THE FIRST NON-DIVINE TRADITION WAS "SERPENT-MADE TRADITION" HMMMMMMM???

CAN YOU IMAGINE JESUS SAYING....?
Acts 22:16 Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His Name.
What
if Jesus had said; "Saul, your baptism in water was just an act of
obedience, it had nothing to do with washing away your sins.
John 8:24 'Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."
What if Jesus had said; "You do not have to worry about believing the I am the Son of God, because I will impute to those, I have preselected for salvation, the faith to believe and be saved. Have you not heard of the doctrine, saved by grace alone? Those who will die in their sins are those who have been selected for hell."
CAN YOU IMAGINE JESUS SAYING THAT?
Acts 9:11 And the Lord said to him, "Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying,
What if Jesus had told Ananias, "Go lay hands your on Saul so he may receive his sight, however, you do not have to baptize him and have him call on My name; because he believed in me on the road to Damascus and has said the sinner's prayer, so he already has his sins forgiven."
CAN YOU IMAGINE JESUS SAYING THAT?
What if Jesus had said; "Ananias, you should baptize Saul so he can join the 1st Ananias Church of Damascus?"
CAN YOU IMAGINE JESUS SAYING THAT?
What if Jesus had said to Saul; "If you die on the way to your baptism it is not important because I know what is in your heart?"
CAN YOU IMAGINE JESUS SAYING THAT?
What if Jesus had said to Saul; "Water baptism is just symbolic, it has nothing to do with actual forgiveness and besides remember I forgave the paralytic and he had not been baptized, he was forgiven because of his friend's faith. You did not even have to believe to be saved, you could have been saved like the paralytic?"
CAN YOU IMAGINE JESUS SAYING THAT?
What if Jesus had said; "Saul, when the apostle Peter said to be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins, he really meant to say you are baptized because your sins have already been forgiven?"
CAN YOU IMAGINE JESUS SAYING THAT?
Hebrews 9:22.....with the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
What if Jesus had said; "I shed My blood on the cross as an act of obedience to the Father, but it had absolutely nothing to do with the forgiveness of men's sins?"
CAN YOU IMAGINE JESUS SAYING THAT?
Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
What if Jesus had said; "The conjunction"and" does not mean "and" in the original Greek; therefore belief and baptism are not linked together as a condition for salvation?"
What if Jesus had said; "Has been baptized shall be saved, means you were saved when you believed and then were baptized as an example of your faith to the community?"
What if Jesus had said; "Mark 16:16 Is missing from some manuscript copies of Scripture, so you cannot believe what I said here?"
What if Jesus had said; " I did not mention, in Mark 16:16, that you would be condemned if you rejected water baptism; therefore you can be saved without being baptized?"
CAN YOU IMAGINE JESUS SAYING THESE THINGS?
MEN NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHAT THEY IMAGINE JESUS SAID!
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

WHY QUOTE THE BIBLE?Is it credible to quote from the Bible to support a doctrinal position, if your primary source of authority is a creed book, a catechism, a so-called book of new revelation, or a statement of faith? If the Bible is not your authority for faith and practice; how rational would it be to quote from it to support your position? If the Bible and the Bible alone is not your authority and your authority alone, for faith and practice, then, to make a practice of quoting Scripture to prove a doctrinal point would not only be unreasonable and irrational, it would in fact, be dishonest. Either the Bible is your authority or it is not. You cannot have it both ways. SATAN QUOTED THE BIBLE The devil quoted Scripture when he temped Jesus in the wilderness. The problem was God's word was not his authority.(Matthew 4:1-11) Even though Satan knew God's word he was not obedient to it and lied about God's word, starting in the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:1-13) To quote from the Bible to support or refute a position of faith or practice and not believe that the Bible is trustworthy and is the sole authority from God, is not only disingenuous, but irrational, and does not offer credibility to any position of faith expressed. WHY QUOTE THE BIBLE IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS GOD'S INERRANT WORD AND IT IS THE SUPREME AUTHORITY AND THE SUPREME AUTHORITY ALONE? |

KING JAMES "ONLY"
Which
translation of the Bible is trustworthy? There are those who come
dangerously close to labeling anyone who does not take the position,
that the King James Version is the only reliable English version of
God's word, as heretics. Some congregations only allow reading or
teaching from from the King James Version.
The first question you have ask, is, did God wait 600 years before He gave us Bible we could trust? The King James Version was originally translated in 1611 and it included apocrypha books. Do the King James "only" advocates use the original 1611 edition? No, they do not. The original 1611 KJV is for all practical purposes unreadable. Most translations of the 1611 KJV found in Christian bookstores are in fact the 1779 KJV. The 1611 KJV has been changed or revised in 1612, 1613, 1629, 1638, 1744, 1762, 1769, 1833 to name a few. If you are a KJV "ONLY" advocate, how would you select which revision is the only trustworthy English version of God's word? For the serious Bible student I would suggest a word for word translation of the Bible; such as New American Standard Bible, English Standard Version, King James Version, or New King James Version. Can you read a word for word and thought for thought version; such as the New International Version and still understand the truth about the gospel of Jesus Christ? Of coursed you can. I have no doubt that you can read the NIV, as well as many other translations and still spend eternity with God. The problem with understanding the Bible does not come from reading the wrong translation, it comes from rejecting the simple truth found in Scripture. 1 Peter 1:23-25 for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God ......25 BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER... It you believe God had the ability to create the heavens and the earth, why would you not believe that He has the power to give us more than translation of His word that we can trust? CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE MEN WHO CAUSED IT!
Do
men have the ability to effect climate change on the planet earth? Are
heat waves, cooling temperatures, earth quakes, hurricanes, tornadoes,
floods, droughts, gale-force winds, and snow storms the result of man's
mismanagement of the planet?
Is
it not naive and arrogant to assume that puny man can effect climate
change? Man-made climate change is a grand hoax, at best.
HAVE
MEN BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR CHANGES IN WEATHER PATTERNS? YES, HOWEVER,
THEY HAVE HAD NO POWER TO EFFECT THE CHANGES THAT OCCURRED.
Genesis
6:13 The God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me;
for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am
about to destroy them with the earth.
Were men responsible for the change in the weather pattern? Yes. Did men effect the change of the weather? No, God caused it to rain for 40 days and 40 nights, not men. Genesis 18:20 And the Lord said, :The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave. Genesis 19:24 Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven, Were men responsible for the weather change in Sodom and Gomorrah? Yes. Did men cause the weather to change? No, God effected the change in the climate. 1 Kings 8:35 "When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain; because they have sinned against You.... Men are sometimes responsible for droughts, however, God effects the weather changes. Matthew 27: 51,54 And behold , the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split. 54 Now the centurion, and those who were with him keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were happening, became very frightened and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!" Notice, the centurion did not attribute the earth quake to man-made climate change. 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Men are responsible for the global warming that is coming. No amount of green initiatives will stop the final global warming. Puny men will have no effect on the final climate change. THE MAN-MADE CLIMATE CHANGE HOAX WAS INVENT BY 1.DISHONEST MEN 2.NAIVE MEN 3.ARROGANT MEN 4.OR ALL OF THE ABOVE. GOD IS IN CONTROL OF THE WEATHER. |
